Our mission statement:

The mission of the Great Lakes Zoological Society is to enhance public awareness of the need for wildlife conservation within a balanced ecosystem, while connecting people to nature through conservation education and rescue of reptiles and amphibians.

The Great Lakes Zoological Society's World of Discovery Reptile Zoo is a family destination featuring Reptiles, Amphibians, Birds, Insects, and Arachnids, and also functions as a reptile rescue and adoption center. The 5000 square foot indoor exhibit houses over 100 animals representing over 70 exotic and Michigan indigenous species. We have a spacious gift shop and a classroom where school children, scouts, and birthday goers enjoy a hands-on interpretive education program. We educate kids, promote conservation, and help animals. We are located on the west side of Ann Arbor and are open seven days a week from 10 to 4pm.

Location: 6885 Jackson Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103
